The album features several guest appearances, including Marillion vocalist Steve Hogarth, Go West vocalist Peter Cox, Touchstone vocalist Kim Seviour, a duet with folk singer Heather Findlay, a striking guitar solo on "Humans Being" by Nik Kershaw and the narration throughout the album has been recorded by renowned actor Lee Ingleby (BBC's Inspector George Gently).
